4. Translate "Pounds" to "Cases" in Invoicing

 

This system option pertains to items that are sold by the case or unit, but priced by the pound. When this option is enabled, the order entry staff will be able to enter the number of pounds a customer has ordered and subsequently have the entrée system translate the desired weight into the appropriate number of cases.

 

 

•If this option is enabled, the Enter Weights dialog box will be displayed for each qualifying item allowing the user to enter the weight ordered.

 

•NECS recommends leaving this option disabled, because it will slow down the order entry process.

 

 

Suppose sliced cheese is sold by the 30 pound case. If a customer was to order 60 pounds, entrée would automatically convert the 60 pounds to 2 cases.
