The System Preferences utility is used to configure the operational settings of the entrée system.

Some of the settings in system preferences are global and saved to the file server and others are user dependent and stored locally on the workstation.

In order for entrée to operate correctly, the system preferences must be set for each workstation.

Disabling the Edit system wide values in Preferences password option will prevent a user from modifying the global settings that are saved to the file server.
