This field is used exclusively with catchweight items. These are items where the net weight of the product varies from case to case. The value entered in this field represents the approximate weight of the item.

 

•The average weight is used to derive the weight transferred to a PC. item when the automatic breaking cases feature is used with a catchweight item.

 

•The average weight is also used for weight calculations on some of the reports in entrée

 

If the item's weight does not vary from case to case the average weight should be set to 0.00.
