Entrée Version 3.5.9 Release Highlights

GENERAL

Implemented System Option #169 - "Accept orders for Credit Hold customers and queue for approval" which changes the Credit Hold limitation in Create Invoice. Rather than outright rejecting a new order from a customer with a credit issue, as entrée currently does, this feature allows the order to be entered into the system but flagged as being "on hold".

Once an order has been placed "on hold" by this entrée feature it must explicitly be accepted or declined. This is done by using the "Credit Hold Queue Management" utility which becomes available when you activate System Option #169.

Use menu path Invoicing > Invoices > Credit Hold Queue Maintenance to access this utility.

Before the order can be processed (beyond entering items and quantities) it must be approved by someone designated as a "Credit Manager". However there is much more to this feature than what we can explain here. For further information please refer to the "X.pdf" document on the NECS Website (or on your entrée CD if you received your
update on disc). Note that this release only includes the basic changes to the Invoicing system as well as a utility for processing the Credit Hold invoices. A future release will update the report- and label-printing features to properly recognize "on hold" documents and treating the separately when needed.

CHANGE INVOICE

Provided a feature which allows the "Change History" of an invoice to be viewed. For quite a while now entrée has been keeping track of who changes any invoice and when they made the change, but the only way to view that information was to run a report.

Now the invoice edit process has been modified to allow you to view the information directly in Change Invoice. When you are working on an invoice which has previously been changed next to the Invoice No. field just click on the "Revision Letter" value (or hit "Shift-F7") on the keyboard.

The ChangeHistoryForm window will pop up and display a list of all of the prior changes to that invoice. Currently the list shows Revision Letter, Revision Number, Date Changed, Time Changed and the name of the person making the change. Note, however, that this list only indicates that a change of some sort was made by this person but it cannot tell you *what* was changed as that would require storing massive amounts of information.
