entrée allows for two distinct types of salespeople in the system. The most common is a normal salesperson. However, some companies require multiple salespeople to be assigned to the same account. It is in these instances when a broker should be defined. This feature is directly related to the proper operation of the entrée commission system and great care should be taken when changing the value of this setting.

A salesperson that is designated as a Salesperson, will only receive commissions from invoices where they are the designated salesperson. Furthermore they will never be eligible to receive Broker commissions, regardless of whether or not they are set as the broker for a particular customer. If a salesperson is to receive both broker and salesperson commissions, two separate salesperson accounts must be defined. One that designates them as a salesperson, and the other as a broker.
