Every item that is received by lot must have a lot number assigned to it so it can be tracked accordingly. Later, when you are creating invoices, entrée will suggest which lot(s) to pull the inventory using FIFO (First In First Out)

 

•Enter a lot number, up to 8 characters in length, for the product being received in this field.

 

•If the product should be added to an existing lot, clicking the Search button to the right of the lot number field will open the Lot Search screen.

 

•If system option 10 is enabled, entrée will provide a suggested lot number automatically.
