The "Purge Secondary Inventory File" utility removes unnecessary data records from the secondary Inventory File.

In order to be compatible with external applications the entrée Inventory File is actually stored in two separate parts. For various reasons the secondary file will sometimes end up with data records for items which no longer exist in the primary file. This utility will compare the secondary file against the primary file and remove any entries which cannot be found in the primary file.

NECS strongly recommends all users are out of the entrée system, when this utility is run. Failure to comply may result in a collision with a user that is attempting to access one or more of the data files.
