The APO weeks field is used to determine if the item should be ordered when automatically generating purchase orders.

 

•Enter the number of weeks worth of product to keep on hand at all times in this field. The value for the number of weeks can be determined by dividing the number of days by 7.

 

•The supply time or the amount of time that it takes to receive product after the order has been placed should also be factored in when entering the APO weeks.

 

 

 

If a 10-day supply of product should be kept on hand at all times and it takes about 10 days for an order to reach the warehouse, the value entered in the APO Weeks field would be 2.86.

 

20 days / 7 days in a week = 2.86
