These two fields are used to define the current retail price for this customer.

The retail price can be entered as either a dollar amount or a percentage over the customer's sell price.

The value specified for current retail pricing will override the customer's Retail Markup % value, which is defined on the Miscellaneous tab of the customer file maintenance window.

The value specified for current retail pricing will also override the Retail Price value for the item, which is defined on the Cost/Price tab of inventory file maintenance.

If a valid Future Retail Price value exists, that value will override the current retail pricing.

The retail price of the item may optionally be shown on many of the entrée reports.

Some invoice types, such as OC and T, will display the retail price to the customer on the printed invoice.

For more information on retail pricing see the Cost/Price tab section in this chapter.
