Item miscellaneous codes are used as a means of grouping items together.

Each item may have up to 6 miscellaneous codes defined.

Many reports allow for filtering by item miscellaneous code.

Miscellaneous codes may be defined to represent the types of customers that would purchase this particular item. Customers may be categorized into Deli's, Grocery stores, Nursing homes, Restaurants and Schools. Using these categories the miscellaneous codes would be D, G, N, R and S respectively.

When printing inventory based reports, using an item miscellaneous code filter of R would instruct entrée to only print items that have a R in their item miscellaneous code.

Cut Lists

Another feature of the entrée system is the ability to print a cut list for items that are cut to order. To designate an item as a product that is cut to order enter a C for one of the item's miscellaneous codes.

The cut list can be automatically be generated, whenever a loading sheet is printed that contains cut items by enabling system option 62.
