The future cost/price update by class dialog is used when performing a batch update to every item in a given class' cost and/or prices that will become effective on a given date in the future.

The fields in the Class Information area displays which class and the total number of items that will be modified by the update process.

All items in the class will have the real and base cost adjusted by a set amount.

Items that have level pricing calculated as a dollar amount over real or base cost can also be modified by a set amount for each level.

Click the OK button to begin the update process.

Changes made in V4.0.38 to the handling of Minimum Selling Price updates in the Cost/Price Update Utility, Future Price By Class:

The adjustment is a dollar amount and it will only be applied to Minimum Selling Prices which is currently based on a dollar markup. This is consistent with how similar adjustments are being applied to Level Prices.

The application of the adjustment has been changed so that it goes straight to the Markup value so that the recalculation process will produce the desired result.

Burden $ Impact:

If Burden $ is zero then the Minimum Selling Price is adjusted directly with no change to Burden $.

If Burden $ is non-zero then the adjustment is applied to Burden $ and Minimum Selling Price is recalculated using the new Burden $ value.
