You have the ability to assign an image to a class. Along the right side of the class maintenance dialog is the Image Preview area. When the mouse cursor moves inside of the image preview area right-click to reveal the image options. This dialog is used whenever you need to import, search for, assign an existing image, export an image, or remove an image from a class.

 

To Assign / Replace an Image for a Class

 

1.Go to the Inventory ribbon menu and select Class.

 

2.This opens the Class Maintenance feature.

 

3. Find the class you would like to assign an image to and click on it to select it.

 

4.On the right side of the Class Maintenance dialog is the Image Preview area.

 

Right-click in the Image Preview area to view the menu of options. Use one of the options in the menu to find and assign or replace an existing image.

 

Import image from file - Used to assign a new image from a file on your computer or network.

Search the Web - Used to search the internet for images. (Be aware of copyright issues when selecting your image).

Use an existing image - Used to assign an image already loaded in the Class image database.

Export this image to a file - Used to export the image to a file on your computer or network.

Remove this image assignment - Used to remove the image currently assigned to the class.

 

How to Search the Web for a Class Image

1.    Click the Search the Web option and immediately go to the Internet to find your class image.

 

2. The Internet Image Search screen has the “Class” value in the Search field automatically.

 

A first search has already been performed with the first search results displayed.

 

3. Click the desired image to select it.

 

 

4. The Image Preview dialog will open with your class name in the Description field and the image you selected.

 

 

 

 

 

 

5. Click the Select button and now the image has been assigned to the class. This process can also be used to replace a class image with a new image from the web.

 

 

 

 

Using a digital camera you can take pictures of the products in your warehouse that can be imported into the entrée system. Although images of any resolution are supported, it is recommended to use 640x480 resolution to save hard disk space and the amount of time it takes to upload the images to the entrée.NET internet ordering system.
