The territory code field can be used to define a district that the customer does business in. For example a business located in New London County could have a territory code of NLONC.

Enter up to 5 characters for the territory code.

The territory code field may contain any combination of characters and numbers, but special characters such as spaces, commas, and dashes should not be used when defining territory codes.

Many of the entrée reports can be grouped, sorted or filtered by customer territory code.

Customers can also have special sales tax rules defined by territory code.

For more information on setting up tax codes, see the Tax Codes section of the Inventory File Maintenance chapter.
