Remote Desktop Services:

Remote Desktop Service, formerly known as Terminal Services, is one of the components of Microsoft Windows (both server and client versions) that allows a user to access applications and data on a remote computer over a network, using the Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP).

Minimum Terminal Server requirements (for up to 10 workstations):

Dual core Xeon processor 2.2GHz +
4 GB Ram
Windows 2003 Server R2

Recommended Terminal Server requirements (for up to 10 workstations):

Quad core Xeon processor 2.33GHz +
8 GB Ram
Windows 2008 Server 64 Bit

Notes:

In all terminal server setups, no more than 10 clients should be connected. If more than 10 clients need to connect an additional terminal server will be required.
The entrée data files should not be installed on the terminal server. Instead they should live on a separate file server.
When running Remote Desktop Services, you will need to install our “Codebase Configuration” file on your entrée file server. This file throttles back the memory consumption used by entrée when running Remote Desktop Services. It is available via the customer download section of our Support area of our website, or you can contact NECS technical support for additional information.

Pricing for the NECS entrée system starts at $4,995 and increases related to the number of workstations licensed for simultaneous use.

NECS “Software Maintenance” is included for this product at no charge for the first 90 days after going live. After the 90 day period, Software Maintenance starts at $85/month for this product.

Minor version software updates available for immediate download from our web site.
